The town of Mahone Bay is located on the northwest shore of the Mahone Bay and belongs to the Lunenburg County.
Viewing across the harbour you will find the three prominent churches a Anglican, a Lutheran, and a United. Mahone Bay has a rich history and is known for his wooden boat building which was the main industry in earlier years which can be learned from the Settler's Museum. In regards to his history Mahone Bay celebrates an annual Classic Boat Festival to commemorate the rich wooden boat heritage of Nova Scotia's South Shore.
