Antigonish Harbour is a large saltwater tidal estuary emptying into St George's Bay. St. George's Bay is the body of water that separates mainland Nova Scotia from Cape Breton Island's western shore. Antigonish Harbour abounds with marine life, small mammals, waterfowl and American Bald Eagles. There is a large eagles nest on the small island (right of center). There are 8 islands in the foreground. In summer oyster-men will harvest beds on the left of center. Antigonish Harbour is also well-suited to kayaks, canoes and other watercraft.
