Welcome to the new Nova Scotia Webcams!
A complete redesign
February 13, 2026 · Ralf Pickart
The old website served us—and countless visitors—incredibly well for many years. It became a trusted resource for tourism enthusiasts and nature lovers seeking authentic glimpses of Nova Scotia's stunning landscapes and attractions. However, as technology evolved at a rapid pace, the underlying infrastructure began to lag behind modern standards, affecting both performance and user experience. The site had become sluggish, and it was clear that a refresh was long overdue.
When Tourism Nova Scotia awarded the prestigious \"Extreme Tourism Fund\" to Nova Scotia Webcams in 2013, it was a validation of the project's value to the tourism community. That recognition fueled years of growth, but it also highlighted the need for a platform that could match the quality of the content it was delivering to global audiences.
The vision for a new design had been carefully crafted and refined over several years—a completely new logo, modern color scheme, and improved interface had been waiting patiently in the drawer, ready for their moment. The redesign focuses on making navigation more intuitive, improving load times, and creating a more visually compelling experience that better showcases Nova Scotia's breathtaking natural beauty.
This complete overhaul isn't just about aesthetics; it's about building a foundation that can grow with the platform while honoring the legacy of what made the original site so beloved by visitors worldwide. We're excited to share this evolution with you and invite you to explore the refreshed website.
We'd love to hear what you think! Please take a moment to browse the new site and let us know your feedback. Your input helps us continue improving and delivering the Nova Scotia experience you've come to expect.
