This webcam overlooks the waters of Shag Harbour, a picturesque fishing community on Nova Scotia’s South Shore and the site of one of Canada’s most famous unexplained mysteries.
On the night of October 4, 1967, witnesses reported seeing strange lights in the sky before an unidentified object appeared to crash into the waters off Shag Harbour. Local residents, fishermen, RCMP officers and other responders took part in the search, but no wreckage was ever officially recovered. The event became known as the Shag Harbour UFO Incident and continues to fascinate researchers and visitors from around the world.
Today, the view is usually a little more peaceful, but no less captivating.
